Wow !! I like to consider myself pretty knowledgeable about Rock n' Roll, especially who would have been heard in that era and I can honestly say that I have never heard of this all girl band. However, they kick ass !!

I watched a BBC programme about girls in bands and Fanny were featured.
Unfortunately , as some of you guys over there may remember, Fanny is a term for er..... a lady's "front bottom" and when they toured in the Uk they were taken aback by the enthusiastic shouts of the band's name

I saw Fanny at the Birmingham Town Hall in 74 or 75.

OK that's AWESOME! I've been closely following music since I was around 9 or 10. If I'd ever heard Fanny, they definitely slipped thru the cracks. They are (were) amazing- absolutely some of the bast straight-up rock of the era! Stunning, I am blown away.

Um.. no. Actually.

These women were (and still are) amazing players. They had a fantastic band- as good at songwriting and playing as anyone ever. By every right, they should be all the way up there in Rock & Roll history, directly alongside any and every other top tier band of their day.

Fanny absolutely deserves total and complete respect! I would, in no way, say or do anything to belittle or diminish them and their monster talent.

"Jean and June Millington have continued to play music together over the years while also forging separate paths. June also co-founded the Institute for Musical Arts in Western Massachusetts, a recording and retreat complex supporting women musicians at all stages of their careers. Brie Howard's life beyond music has included motherhood, an impressive career in film, many songwriting credits and a custom cake business. She has been in two bands since leaving Fanny, American Girls and, with her husband David Darling, Boxing Gandhis. Howard answered the Millington sisters' call to reunite in early 2016, and things just felt right."

I'll stick with David Bowie- I prefer the straight up rock and roll of Fanny over that, but thanks for posting.

On account of the differences between our and your native tongue it's perhaps best I make no comment about fanny facepalm

I had the Fanny Hill album on the turntable several weeks back. And yet I don't remember them from way back and have no idea when I pick up the album. I'm starting to think some strange things happened in the 70's...I just can't remember!

Well you know what "they" say about the 70s (or was that the 1960s?)- if you can remember it- you weren't there! laughing
