I'm looking for an inexpensive British pre unit motorcycle around 350cc, what are my options? pros and cons etc

...I think the prices depend on the area where the motorcycle is; group of people; condition etc.
I do not know about England prices but BSA 350 (single) are good and not expensive. Easy to repair.
Avoid Triumph 350; very difficult to locate spare parts for the bottom end; conrods are not good; not powerful engine. Looks fine but is not so good.
