Very nice BSA, and the MV is a pleasant sight as well...

Spring has arrived in Blighty and they've stopped salting the roads in the Peak district.
Last time I rode the BSA was in autumn and it needed the choke slightly on to pull well so now its planned to drop the matchbox a little to richen it up and give it a good blast.
It's certainly fast and runs well.
I'll try and get a video on my phone and put it on You tube.
Its going to the Manx this Aug with the MV presuming it doesn't put a rod through the cases beforehand.

There's not a lot not to like about this build. Very tasty indeed.
I'd like to see a video of it on the road and have a listen too.
Take my hat off to you sir, that's a really nice bike (How much do you want for the B175 headlamp assy? wink )
Cheers John

It is relatively easy to bolt a bunch of nice parts together and build an eye-catching machine. It ain't so easy to achieve balance and style that pleases the eye from every angle. Simply a great job.

Hi Lilo, I passed your bike on Douglas prom during Manx week, unfortunately I didn't pass by it again. On the plus note it looks even better than the photos give it credit for.

Rivet counters typically walk right past non-stock-appearing bikes.

Walk on by! We'll gather 'round and appreciate it for what it is.

BOBs first trip to The Island.

With his Italian cousin.

The carburation not quite right! No surprise as first trip out.

Ticks over and starts great. If you get the tickling and C5 ignition system primed correctly.

Then just off the pilot, Which these 1 5/32 GP2's have, it goes rich.

Past the cutaway and onto the needle it pulls like a dentist.

Tops out quite early, No tacho. Maybe more on the main.

A little experimentation required.

Hi Lilo, have you got the links to where you modified the frame? I can't find it within this thread. Cheers

lilo, what is the front end (fork, wheel, brake) on your A65? (Sorry if it was stated earlier in the thread; I got here late.) And what needed to be changed in order to fit the forks?
