I have a 73 750 Tiger that is actually the 724. It needs to be rebored, so my question is what size should we bore the thing to? The stock bore is the 75 mm 724 size. When they went to the actual 750 (744) they they used a different barrel casting and went to 76 mm bores. So what would the first overbore be on my existing early castings?
Thanks for any info I can get!

I had the same problem. Was advised by British Cycle Supply to bore to suit standard 750 pistons. Did this a couple of years ago with good results.

According to Triumph Service Bulletin No.423 (Jan.73), "Only one oversize condition is available......+.040", and uses the 71-3676 Piston assembly." (same as 76mm/744cc standard).
