The Prospect came down today with some great news, he PASSED his motorsickle test... grin

So being the greatest Dad on the planet, I instantly promoted him to a FULL Muvafuka, and handed over the HUNDRED DOLLAR bike to him, so now I'm down to just 5 bikes... frown

But this means I can ride the World with my SON, how flipping good is that to say eh... beerchug

Only trouble is, there's a space in the fettling shed that needs filling, but what should I fill it with... ohno

Couldn't even bloody wait for my write up!

proper yarn is coming, I have flu at the moment so can't type it up here yet, but it's coming!
I've been avoiding here to stop being distracted and pass my test, so I can finally read the posts on here again now XD

Congratulations to both of you. Shaun, fettling would be limited but a new 650 Royal Enfield would look good in the shed. Or you could get Cochise a brother and scare up an Enfield Indian. Not that there's no other brands - just that my mind is always thinking of Enfields lately.

Watched a couple videos of the Enfield Himalayan yesterday , never seen one in the flesh .
I liked the way it looked ... and the way it wasn't hyper powered .

... are they any good ?.

The Himalayan gets good reviews from its owners. Seems to be well liked and reliable. Sounds like it is just a basic motorcycle that does what it is supposed to do.

Kent, Walt in Tennessee is the guy redoing a 67 TR6R with 736 orig. miles. I yapped with him in Oct. at The Barber Vintage Festival. He was riding his brandy new RE- Himalayan. He really liked it and I thoroughly scrutineered it and liked what I saw. PM him and get some input

Wade man dude, don't really do facetube lad, only on it cos Baza can't be arsed to text me when a run is happening. He forced me to sign up so I could look at the ATOM club's site there... shocked

In the meantime I know a few Panther people, the Accent being one, so I guess he can put me into a bike when needed... thumbsup

As for sending anyone a PM about the Himalayan, not needed lad, I know two people with them, sat on one a couple of months back. Both say they're great bikes, having doubts though, as being MAN sized I'm not sure 400cc will be big enough... confused

I have an 850cc bike from another company in mind, but that one would mean selling a BSA, and I can't do that till after the international... cry

So meanwhile back at the ranch, I'm waiting on the Prospect to get em in at the bar... wink

OK, I get it now. With the tone of your other post, I thought you might be thinking about Banburry (sp) run types of bikes.
Now I understand it is something like this to look for.

Look at his smile, enjoying life.
I will keep an eye open, as I had seen a Panther with a sidecar for sale abit ago. Can't find it now though.

Perhaps you did, but you didn't realise it was a Panther. Either that, or it was at the BSA International in Brimfield, all I know is I've definitely seen one in the USA... thumbsup

That was quick, just checked again and its gone so are most of the other vehicles, maybe someone at eBay is actually working, any way, off for a shower then get ready to ride the Douglas to catch the 0630 am ferry to Ireland, lots of layers and some good old scottish stodge inside, its -6 centigrade outside (21f for you Americans) At least theres only an inch of snow and crystal clear skies and no more forecast at least.
