I just saw where Paul Atkinson, one of the founding members of the Ohio Valley BSA Owner's Club, passed away recently.

I met Paul on my first BSA ride up to the OVBSAOC Summer Rally 20 years ago. I was one of the few who had ridden in from out-of-state on a BSA, and he (along with Clark Francy) introduced me and showed me around to some of the members and rally-ers there.

When it was time to ride home Sunday, it was pouring rain and he offered to put me up until the weather improved, but I headed on out anyway. As soon as I got home on Monday afternoon, the phone rang and it was Paul checking to see if I'd made it OK. He was the kind of guy who would look out for his friends ....

Wow, fantastic story Lannis. You are still one of the few who ride in from out of state...

He was the first OVBSA guy I talked to. He signed me up. A kind and friendly man.

Latest Ohio Valley BSAOC newsletter landed at Casa Nostra yesterday and has a small obituary on page 3
