I just stumbled across a Lucas headlight upstairs in my pile of parts that has a red dot (light) in the white ammeter.
This is the same ammeter that is in the nacelle on my '58 Sq 4.This headlight body is the same on used on both Triumphs and BSA's that has the panel with ammeter and switch held onto the back of the light housing by 3 screws.
Can anyone tell me which Ariel or anything else this headlight w/ammeter might have come from? I thought that this light was Sq4 only.
Thanks
Sam

Those ammeters were used on several bikes with coil ignition.
BSA C10/11 and some pre war Enfields come to mind.

Thanks for the info.
I have only seen these ammeters on Sq4's and was told that they were rare...

They are rare now Sam.
Usually go for a high price when they come onto the market.
