Does anyone know if it's possible to fit a MOV crank assembly into a MAC or early MSS crankcase, I'd like to try a short stroke 350 using a MOV bottom end and a sleeved MSS top end.

The MOV crank would fit in MAC cases with no difficulties but that would get you nowhere as the bore of a MAC is the same as an MOV. The MSS crank drive side shaft is significantly bigger in diameter and the drive side bearing is wider. You could probably make shims and spacers to make it all work but it would be a bit of a lash up. An old guy I knew told me they used to adapt MSS barrels and MAC cases to work together (the original big-MAC) but I don't know how it was done.

OTH you can prep an iron MAC so that it goes pretty hard, 100mph not out of the question.
M17/8 cam, compression, bit of porting, carb, simple mods to the lubrication system.
But it leaves the gearbox mounting with it's single adjustable mount on top vulnerable to twisting and breaking the shell.
On mine I added (welded on) a second top mount on the gearbox shell and used x 2 left hand gearbox plates.
Just an idea Allen.
