Hi every one

I have recently just obtained a 1941 wd m20

Can any one advise on the oil filter element in the oil tank , is it best to keep or bin it and perhaps fit a magnet in the oil tank ?

Advise appreciated

The felt and perforated steel tube? Why in heck would you bin it!

Wash or replace with a new element.

I have heard some owners discard and change the oil frequent

The outer filter is a wire mesh type , is it possible to replace just the inner wadding and not the complete unit ?

or can the unit be washed if so the best way to do so

Yes there’s never been a shortage of dopey motorcycle owners.

Is this it?

It appears to cost £12.
