I sold my A65 and grabbed a 1957 B33. (motor is an XB33, 47 i belive?

I am presently stripping the frame and have bought body parts to turn it into a green lane capable bike with goldstar scrambler tank, alu mudguards some fork upgrades and a single seat.

While I have the engine out I wonder what sort of upgrades I can do.

I have read somewhere that goldstar touring or scrambler cam is a good option for longer duration for a little extra grunt but what else do I need watch out for if I go that route?

Also it wet sumps. when I got the bike ALL the oil has drained into the casings, is there a fix for it while I have the motor out?

For what you want to do, the touring cams are fine. IMO, the scrambles cams are likely a bit more than you need for the intended purpose.

Make sure the bolts are tight for the oil pump. You can use socket head cap screws and safety wire them to keep them tight. The pump body may be worn/scored. Until you get inside, you won't know for sure.

Clean and reseat the ball behind the hexagonal plug at 6 0' clock on the timing cover. It is also a good idea to replace the spring too
