hi everybody , I have been browsing through suppliers adverts and I cant find the hub that is the same as mine and I don't want to get the wrong ones, the dommy hubs look the same but I don't think they are , has anyone fitted rims on a model 50 1956 (not featherbed frame) if so which rims and spokes fit ? Thanks PP

As you can't be certain the hub is original you best post a pic of the hub.

Yes the wheels are different for dommies and single downtube frames, although not by much.
It might all be in the axles and spacers, anyone tried to play swapsies ?

RGM have the diagrams online, but not the text/part numbers - yet.
This for the 1956 ES2 19R and Model 50

they look the same as mine , I would think the spoked hubs themselves would be the same even if the fittings differ , and the there is the offset I only have the hubs with no spokes or rims . thanks for your help PP

Its always worth getting a hold of a printed parts book, makes determining what fits and what will not soooo much simpler.
The NMM (National Motorcycle Museum in Brum) is the agent these days.

The Norton part numbers system in this era tell you what year/model parts were first fitted to, and it lists what other models they fit, very useful.

I've only got a 55 parts list, so best if I don't quote from that, the wheels are different (although not by much).
It doesn't seem the wheels are very different between single downtube frames and featherbeds though,
and a lot of the fittings are the same too. I'd have swingarms I can compare too, although they are buried somewhat,
might take a while to dig them out, again they are slightly earlier than your 56.

Andover Norton has these diagrams online also, and the parts are individually clickable to give you a view, description and price.
This said to be for the ES2

https://andover-norton.co.uk/en/shop-drawing/411/full-width-hubs
https://andover-norton.co.uk/en/shop-drawings/17/pre-featherbed-models

If say you find anything with a B2 beginning its part number - say the front axle (29, top right) with B2/452 as its part number, the B2 tells you
that this was first used in 1946 (B) and the 2 means it was first used on the telescopic forked Big4 model. So is the same across all models for quite some years...

What it doesn't show though is rims and spokes, so is less than helpful in this dept.
Again, I wouldn't like to quote anything that is not exact for your year and model, Nortons used too many variations of stuff...

Sorry can't be more help....
