Still trying to get the 52 Rigid MAC roadworthy. everything takes longer than it should. It was only going to take a little bit to get it going! Without 1/1000th of a mile ridden, I have:

Replaced the front and rear brakes, installed a gen. belt drive, rewired the loom, installed a repop brake light (reworking the innards for a single dual filament bulb), made ALL new cables, replaced the missing rear axle spacer and even rebuilt the 276 carb (twice - its gooder now). All this to find no spark, so off goes the Maggie-neeto to Doug Wood. Nows, its back and installed.

In the meanwhile, I've been really dreading reinstalling the 276 carb. So....I've decided to give the JRC carb a shot. the near side nut is ground thin, far side stud Is a little short, but I'm hoping for the best. We'll see. enrichener pull close...but clears the headsteady......

Left to do: button up the primary side, attach the carb cable and do the fuel lines......... gettin there.......

Sorry to report on the JRC carb;

Started 2nd kick - Idles perfectly. Piddled around the yard without missing a beat. More testing necessary. My rebuilt 276 looks sad, sitting in a box off to the side...........

Good solution. And you won't be dripping fuel over the hot maggy!
(Tempted to do the same with my KSS/RS so I can stick the beautiful 10TT9 carb I have in a glass case and admire it).
Let us know the carb specs eh?
