More bikes and projects than you can shake a stick at but they should be done in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

Long bike trip, then the sound of all that fjord water splashing and gurgling ..... You'll be an old man like me someday, you'll know how it is ... blush

My youngest son got a bit arty with his photography.

For those who are interested - "Twenty three, ten second frames at ISO 200, f/3.5 were I highlighted a different part of the bike and stacked each image in Photoshop with a lighten blending mode."

Like bracketing, but outside the camera?

Well done.

Ger, Apparently there is a difference. The stacking involved lighting a different section of the bike for each image so that the whole bike was illuminated after "stacking". Bracketing is similar but the images have varying degrees of exposure. Maybe someone else can explain it better.

Yeah, he did good.

that was a common emulsion technique for evening photography

you took one underexposure during waning daylight to capture the image

then took another after dark when the streetlights were on, on the same frame

then the resulting picture had your image clearly, but also brightly shining streetlights

artsy day for night

Stacking... In a flash of mind I see a stack of negatives beaming at the photo paper in the dark room of my fathers print shop.

I used the technique Kevin describes many years ago with portraits projected over the person himself or in front of plant or flowers.

I forgot about it untill I read about bracketing in relation with digital photography.

I had to dig the Hypermotard out this morning to go for a roadworthy check and to do so had to move the 1954 S7 Deluxe (Old mate) being careful not to disturb its abundant 'patina which it has now deposited on the floor (final drive)
A NOS pair of crusty hand grips from the UK look just the ticket.
The occasion warranted some photo's.

and many thanks GP..that terrific picture finally saved, again.

labeled 'Move Over Rover, Let Jimmie Take Over' and buried in a folder marked 'Roland Pike Special.

makes perfect sense....looks like the 175 Gold Star people don't seem to know much about, but I had one once. Sold it.
