If I leave out the fixing bolt for the advance mech, do I get an oil leak?

I’ve installed an Electrix CDI ignition on the Firebird race bike.
No need of points on timing side.

The hole in the idler pinion is a blind hole, does not go all the way through the shaft into the crankcase.
