If I leave out the fixing bolt for the advance mech, do I get an oil leak?

I’ve installed an Electrix CDI ignition on the Firebird race bike.
No need of points on timing side.

Thanks in advance.

The hole in the idler pinion is a blind hole, does not go all the way through the shaft into the crankcase.
