i am re-conditioning a pair of the famous "quarter-round" Rodarks, which, happily, fell into my possession a few years back.

I have searched many photos on GOOGLE, and have seen two types of handles in the photos:
One type is smooth, the other (like mine) has a ridge down the center. Mine are badly pitted, may not be re-chromable.

They are obviously drawer handles, and I have found a match for the smooth ones.

Does anyone in Britain know where I can find a pair of the handles with the ridged centers?
Good used ones would do the job, NEW ones preferable if any still exist.

Thanks.

We just bought a "scanner," but I am too tech-ignorant to use it (yet).
I will ask my wife or daughter to put a photo on line.

I do know the distance of the mounting holes, center-to-center, is 3 and 5/16 inches.

If you Google "Rodark panniers" there are pictures, some of which show the ridge-center handles.

Hi,

Mmmm ... need some close-ups ... the biggest picture Google returns to me is of a red and a green one sold together in Car & Classic and even then there isn't enough detail to be sure. frown

Afaict, the handles have blind threaded holes and fit over two holes in a pannier, through which the screws pass to fit in the handles?

Regards,

Like these?

If so then I suspect that they would have been a standard off the shelf automotive component from 50's /60's British cars?
Maybe door pulls? Mg/ mini/ Austin/ ?

YES. The handle in the picture you have on screen is a match for mine.

To me, these look like handles used on kitchen cabinets and drawers.
In fact, the "smooth" handles used on some Rodarks are perfect matches for handles available in USA hardware stores.

I will now begin searching car photos for them as well.

Post some dimensions here and I might be lucky?
Think boats/caravans (trailers) cars and vans.
I suspect that kitchen ones might not be as weather proof as automotive?

Probably easier to buy a pair of similar kitchen ones in stainless

If they were kitchen cabinet ones, that might explain the weather corrosion they have suffered.

The only 'critical' dimension is the distance between mounting holes, which is 3 and 5/16 inches, center-to-center.
If I could find a pair of stainless ones that fit the holes and are similar in looks, that would be an excellent solution.
