Anyone out there restoring a 1958 BSA pre-unit single or twin?

One of those one-year only 1958 welded/fabricated 1958 center stands has appeared on eBay.
It appears new or slightly used. Best one I've ever seen.

Most of these I have seen have been broken, and/or crudely brazed or welded in repair attempts.

I owned a 58 Super Rocket back in the day and it did not have a lift assist. With the exception of the lift assist this looks like a 59 to me. The lift assist should have a provision for a rubber pedal; but other than that If I needed one I would jump on this one for $99.00.

I APOLOGIZE FOR THE USE OF CAPS. I CAN ONLY TYPE WITH MY RIGHT HAND SO USING THE SHIFT KEY IS BEYOND MY CAPABILITES.

The Devil is in the details.

1957 BSA A10 Spitfire Scrambler (numbers matching, very correct, very nice condition)
1965 BSA A65 Lightning Rocket "Clubman" (restored)
1966 BSA A65 Spitfire MK-II (restored)
1967 BSA A65 West Coast Hornet (under rstoration)
2001 Kawasaki W650

I didn't think the singles ever changed to this style of centerstand. I thought the singles stayed with the arched cast style. The later one takes different stops that are welded to the frame and they are not interchangeable with the earlier arched centerstand.
