The PO from whom I bought the 1966 650 SS assured me that the cylinder head had been rebuilt " and thoroughly gone over " by an "expert". Imagine my surprise when I found that the square head on the left side intake rocker adjustment screw barely cleared the locknut !.
As I related in a previous thread the rocker spindles were also of the wrong type for the pressure fed head, they were the scrolled type instead of the plain type ...so much for the " expert ".

The reason for the rocker adjustment screw problem is apparent in the photo.... the gap at the 12 o'clock position is approx. .030" !!, the rocker spindle moves around A LOT !! , going to be a tricky fix.

Wow, It amazes me what people think it acceptable as a finished job. The "expert" seems more like a thief only concerned with making money for half a** work.
