Held at Rutts Hut in Clifton NJ at 6 p.m. on Wednesday 13th June (rain date Wednesday 20th June).
A fun show for ride in bikes of 1993 and older.
Classes for American, Japanese, European, British, Peoples Choice, Greatest Combined Age of Bike and Rider, Best in Show.
Plaques for winners and runners up in each class.
Free entry.
Rutts Hut is a traditional diner celebrating its 90th year this year (started in 1928).
The Rutts Ripper is its signature dish--a deep fried hot dog.
The Ripper is bad for cholesterol but you should have at least one in your life!
How about Wednesday 13th June?
Hope to see you there!

Wish i could be there. When I lived in Little Falls I'd go there for a dog, fries and their incredibly good chili. Def need something to drink with their chili.

I'm gonna put this in the calendar. It'd be fun to swing down there for Rutt's Ripper Old Bike Night!

Al--the dogs, fries and chili are as good as ever--or so I am assured by guys who have been going there much longer than me!
Yes--all are very welcome and if the weather is OK it should be a great evening.
Last year we had good weather and it was packed out--the old stagers said more bikes than they had seen there for more than 25 years.
Hope to see you there!

No problem, Steve--next year perhaps?
Maybe see you at Oley?

The weather for the Rutts Show this Wednesday looks questionable.
We have a rain date of Wednesday 20th June.
We are meeting tomorrow (Tuesday 12th) afternoon to make a decision about going ahead this Wednesday or not.
I will post the outcome on this board for anyone interested.

Thanks, Richard. I'm out of town on the 20th too, but I might be able to at least make a day trip to Oley on Saturday. It'd be nice to see you, John, and others again!

Cheers,

Steve

Had a meeting of the organizing committee this afternoon.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is not too good---but neither is it for the rain date--the following Wednesday. We decided on balance to go ahead with the show tomorrow (Wednesday 13th) evening.
Hope to see some of you there!

I was hoping for the rain date as afternoon thunderstorms are predicted with an 80% probability. Don't think I'll risk putting the old Ajay through getting stuck in GSP traffic in the rain on my trek from central jersey.

Hi Doc----we had a real dilemma----the forecast for Wednesday 13th is certainly not ideal--but the forecast for the rain date, Wednesday 20th is unsettled too.
One of those situations where you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Of course we do not know if we =made the right decision---will be able to tell on Thursday 21st I guess.
Whatever--very much hope that you decide to come--you will be very welcome!

We called it right--more by luck than judgement of course.
It stopped raining at about 2.30 pm and was dry then until after midnight---even had a few peeks of sunshine through the cloud at about 7 pm.
The entries and crowds were down from last year when we had perfect weather but we had a pretty good crowd in all and everyone was enjoying themselves--which is what it is all about.
One of my fellow organizers was the designated photographer.
I am waiting for him to circulate the photos and will then post a few on this board.
Next year, Doc--come rain or shine!
