Hi everyone, I'm looking for a braided stainless steel flexible oil line feed set to suit my 1962 650 SS Dominator, I know you can get them ready made to suit the Commandos but the shorter hose is a bit too long for my likes so if anyone out there is doing them for the "Dommie" head I'd be real pleased to find out more about them.

if the length is the only issue and its too long, all you gotta do is buy an extra ferrule. you field strip the hose end by unscrewing the compression nut from the fitting and cut down the hose using a FINE HACKSAW BLADE the correct amount using tape to keep the braid from "birdcaging". remove the tape and install the ferrule making sure its home WITHOUT getting any stray wires between the teflon and the ferrule and reassemble. and your done.piece of cake.

To add to jaycee's suggestion:
- the recent factory-made braided oil lines I've bought have banjo fittings that are crimped on, and cannot be re-used after removal.
- you can buy a replacement "reusable" banjo from any dealer who sells Aeroquip products
- an alternative to sawing the line is to use a thin abrasive cut-off disk with a Dremel.
