I bought some nice looking pressure plate bits to upgrade the Gold Star clutch. Except USPS sent the parts to the wrong processing center, delaying spending quality time with the Gold Star primary......

OH yes it works. The "o" and "p" for the garden gate, climbing up and down that ladder .... reminds me of the old general stores when I were a lad ....

Glad you're enjoying it! And I'm going long on Exxon/Mobil stock ... you're going to need a pipeline to your garage!

Just bought a Halcyon bar end mirror for my Norton. Hoping I finally found one that will stay where you put it.

An oil pump gasket for the 1969 T120R project bike in the basement. Engine is now completed. Maybe I'll get to fenders and tank painting this spring.

I'm struggling to think of anything witty to say as I walk through the doors, the proprietor will have heard it all before.

I ordered a set of proper exhaust pipes for the T120V. Had to get them from England, but with the exchange rate they're no more expensive even with shipping.
Bought some Mk2 carbs for it, as well as seals etc for the disc front end which will go on it.
I'll be buying a lot of stuff for this project.

The people getting ready to go back to work in the iron foundries and steel mills that will be competitive again now that we're taxing foreign imports the way the foreigners tax OUR exports, instead of just us laying back getting hosed every day, would probably disagree with you on that .... I'm willing to pay a couple more dollars for a con rod made in America! I sort of like my neighbors ....

I hope the staff wear brown warehouse coats.

I've just watched the fork 'andles sketch, it's lasted well! I can think of 1/2 dozen ironmongers (hardware stores) just like that , now gone. although Morrells continues in seedy Soho, albeit much more spick and span than previously.

Dibnah, A lad i know from Whalley Lancashire lived at his family's hardware shop called Gilmartins on King st where merchandise would be on display on the wide pavement outside the shop.
His nickname is G-G-G-GRANVILLE ! Just been on google street level, pleased to see the shop still going.

Price of Aluminum in the US is down 4% since the tariff was proposed. He knows what he's doing ....

Hi Guys,

The last thing I bought? Pretty exotic----a wax ring and some misc. hardware so that my brother and son can repair the floor under the toilet. (I know!! The very thought makes me press the back of my hand to my forehead and nearly swoon in delight!)

Of course, that means that the free roller-coaster ride---a benefit of sitting down on a very tentative base to do one's business---will be gone. Somehow I think I'll learn to live with the loss.

Well, you *did* ask.......

Meanwhile in the world of B44 building, I found out that a heavy-duty fingernail emery board is perfect for cleaning and very light sanding of that impossible-to-reach area twixt the cylinder fins. So now my life is pretty much complete---if only it would get even a little bit sunny, my life would be perfect. April is half-way gone---can May be far behind?

Onward into the fog.

A strap wrench for the oil filter on my wife's car a few hours ago. Why in the world do the oil shops put it on so tight??
