I'm going install a new kickstart return spring soon. Is there a little known, never documented, spring tweak that has to be done to the stock spring to keep it from binding? Or just slap it in there as is?????????

Can't think of an anti-binding 'tweak', but you do need to make up a jig - just a bit of wood with a couple of nails in it to help you wind up the spring a bit when you assemble it into the housing.

tweak: the inner loop that is held by the pin/bolt is slightly smaller than the out end. It needs to be tweaked smaller, as the re-pops have same size loops on both ends. my original has a smaller loop on the inner. internet is an amazing reference!

Get one of the modified springs from the Velo owners spares (VSL ) if you are a member. These work well and don't break as they are slightly different design from std spring. They have a good web side linked the the Velocette club home page.
