My thought too. What's that, a $2500 fuel tank? And what's the average undamaged lifespan of a race bike tank? About two motos?

I hope it has a plastic tank for "daily use" and keep this one for Sundays at Grandma's ... !

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Upon closer inspection you may notice there are a few non factory items on the bike.
The tank is actually an Indian repro - not bad, but not great either.. but enough for a bike that will get some scratches etc.
Handle bars and levers are modern style to suit the riders liking
Rims and tyres are also newer styling and made for racing on newer tracks
New shocks for more travel and better ride
Aftermarket fenders so as not as expensive if needing to be replaced.
Air box made here and takes modern type filter inside - but still original look

All in all it is still the real deal factory racer, but a few modern touches, and if they decide to stop racing it, can easily be put back to the correct items for originality

Wow, that’s a beauty. You’re a brave man to race it, even with the non original parts. I love the tires, to say nothing of the tank. Very very nice.
