On my 69 441 I have the correct top yoke part # 97-2525 and assuming I have purchased the correct stanchions, when installing the stanchion, should they be flush with the top of the yoke. Thanks

They should not be flush as they need to go tight into the taper before they reach the top. On my 68 B44 the top of the tube is about 3/32 of an inch below the top edge of the triple. If they were to reach the top they might not be tight in the taper before contacting the nut.

Gordo +1, and as a taper is harder to keep accurate from part to part than a normal diameter its best be on top limit so less risk of it topping out.
