I'm working on a 55 or 56 Indian Trailblazer, yeah I took it apart years ago Anyway, I had the frame and swingarm painted with the engine out, fully disassembled. I'm now having trouble reinstalling the swingarm, the fit is just too tight. I did not remove the bushings from inside the swingarm went I painted it. I can seem to reinstall it on the frame tho. Is it really the thickness of the paint that prevents there or is there a trick? Asking before I do any harm, beating or sanding, etc. I don't want to do that. Do I have the thrust washers in wrong?
There has to be something I'm missing. Thanks

Sorry, pictures aren't coming through and I'm not sure I understand this "I'm having trouble reinstalling the swingarm...I can seem to resinstall in on the frame tho." It sounds like you need a frame spreader, but then you mention that you can install it on the frame? If it's not squeezing in (they shouldn't), just use a piece of all-thread with a few washers and jam nuts to help spread the frame apart. I think there was a factory tool for this, but I've never seen one. I hope this helps. If I missed the point, I apologize.
