I need a couple of big ends (B33 and M20). I see prices ranging from £270 (Draganfly) to £145 on e-bay.

I only know of the Alpha bearings, so are there other manufacturers / quality which account for this almost 100% difference in pricing or is it just profit margins?

Does anyone have recommendation where I can get a decent big end at a fair price?

Cheers

Pete

Pete: Are you asking about the conrod bigend bearing or the crank bearings?

I have never seen a bigend bearing going for only 27 UK pounds from anywhere.

Pete:

Change noted. Here is a bearing for 190 pounds http://www.sparesforclassicmotorcyc...66-483-65-1614-66-481-ww91017-1916-p.asp

If you can get one for 145 pounds that might be the best you will find these days. They are not cheap.

Just make sure that is is complete, crank pin, cage, rollers, and outer race. It should all be encapsulated in plastic. B and M series should be B14K for Alpha.

I was talking to Max Nightingale in Alpha before, he said they can refurb original bearings sometimes. They cylindrically grind the crankpin, con rod eye, and then fit oversize rollers. I cannot remember the price, but it was cheaper than buying a brand new one, and better than buying a dodgy indian or chinese bearing.

If you can get access to a machine shop to have the pin ground, the 1/4" bearings are available at your local Harley shop in various oversizes.

Hi All,

Warning

When I went to the atlasball.co.uk website and clicked on one of the roller bearing expansion links
It started to open new tabs on my browser at high speed
It had opened over 50 tabs before I could close the browser ?????

Win 10 and Firefox browser

?????
