Probably a good read Kurt and thanks for sharing the link......but it'd be wasted on me. It loses me at the rabbi part. Just don't see how praying to the same (what ever you want to call it) thing that could/should have stopped it in the first place works.

I don't expect to find out......BUT I do respect others beliefs even if I don't understand them.

Just saying.......I love the Motts and they know how I feel about all of this....I've not sugar coated anything.....they know where I stand.

I'll be standing beside them and I'm asking for you to join in.

It'll be over in a few more days (this time around) and then unless we lose another family member I'll go back under my rock.

Just a guess, but I think some folks might scroll past this post as I do for months at a time. When I have funds I can contribute, I read the updates and contribute.

This is only my opinion, but I think some people give once (or maybe twice) and scroll on by after that.

Realistically, there are many good causes to donate to, and only so much money each of us earmarked for making donations.

Scrolling past and actually reading the updates are two different things. I'm trying is to touch a nerve on those who take the time to stop by and read the updates. I'll never reach those that just scroll by and never stop.

1/2% of the almost 10,000 members is 50 members. You would think that we could reach that many folks. $100 from each of them and we're gold. Push that out to 100 members and they only have to give $50 each to reach the goal. We have award winning bike builders on here, folks that travel the world to attend bike rallies.....I'd bet that a lot of members have more than 4 different bikes on the road and many of you have collections to die for....I know because I've had the privilege to see some of them.

This is a bb.com thing (with I think some help off the AV Rider site?) So it's a motorcycle thing......a group of like minded folks getting together to help one family. Yes there are a LOT of families out there that need help......but a man has to pick his fights.

I'm looking for some of those who have helped in the past.......and some of those who haven't helped yet......but know they want to. 5$.......isn't that much money......give it a try.

I'm not giving up.........we'll make the goal......I promise you that. Just would be nice to have a little more help with it.

Nope.....you've got that all wrong Paul. Biggest right legs come from Triumph and Norton owners who "think" they want a BSA but can never get past them not having rubber joints and push rod tube seals......so they get one and then can't figure out how to make it run.

There's a reason a BSA was truely the most popular motorcycle in the world at one time......just not everyone knows why.

Bless you too Dennis....you've always been one of the good guys.

We had a small donation drive back at the first of all of this....it went well. Then we did our yard sale thing and it went well too. Somewhere along the line David knew that this was going to be for the long haul and asked some of us if we would commit do donating a couple times a year. Some of us said yes and since then David has had two donation drives per year for Anna.

As you well know........we lost one of those people this year and I feel like I need to step up and see if we can get someone to take his place.

David just picks a number....this time around his goal is $5000 I know it's not the end of the world if he doesn't make it and the Motts are grateful no matter what.......but I'm putting it on myself for Ben to make that goal this year.....He's always been a friend of the Motts.

Every little bit helps.......and I thank each and everyone of you that has taken the time and effort to help.

Your BSA unit single friend in NC ( doesn't matter if ya gota Norton...you'll always be a good guy in my book) Gordon

Just a few days left to get your name on the donor list. I'm looking forward to seeing who joined in. I know some of you do it anonymously and that's your choice. I "think" we know who the "Nony Mouse" is and that fellow in Georgia doesn't post on the board much if at all....but IMO if you give, it's a good thing to have your name on the list.

If you couldn't help this time around....no worries we'll be back for Anna's birthday. I'm making a pledge to have a "gift" for all the donors next time around ( a little hint......I'm the one who had the bb.com pins made) Not that you'd give for a gift but what the heck....a little payback couldn't hurt.

Still time to join in........help David and bb.com make the $5000 goal. Be a BritBike.com Friend of the Motts.

I just heard through the grapevine that we "might" have reached David's goal. We'll wait for David to confirm.....but I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Thanks to Morgan for letting us do this through the board.....he IS the BEST!

Thanks to all who took the time and trouble to help out.......you will probably never know how much this means to a family in Georgia, USA

And a BIG thanks to David for spearheading it all these years......he never gets enough credit.

I'm working on a donors "gift" for the next drive. I'll first have to get Morgan's approval and then we'll be good to go.

Thanks to all of you for putting up with me.......again.

Take care.....have a HAPPY HOLIDAYS and hope to see you down the road..........Gordon in NC

Not the final design.....working on a single hand print, and a purple ribbon option and also waiting to hear back from Morgan to see if he's okay with using the bb.com logo on an Anna pin.

[Linked Image]

But.......I'm working on it.

I've also asked Morgan if I could have some of the bb.com pins made again........there's only 100 of them out there so they are kinda rare and I'd like to give some more away.

Morgan gave me the okay to have some more of the BritBike.com pins made up. He also said I can do a bb.com "Friends of the Motts" pin so we are moving forward on the design options.

Here's the BritBike.com pin I had made up back in 2001 and will have produced again. I don't wear pins but they are nice to put on a shelf......or stick them away in a drawer.

[Linked Image]

These will be given away and sent to you for free.........all you have to do is ask. Probably be next month before I get them in hand.

Morgan mentioned that the "www" probably doesn't need to be there now a days.......and maybe do away with ".com" too. Just BritBike........what do ya'll think?

I need some feedback here please. I haven't ordered them yet but want to this weekend.

Here's what I have for the BritBike pin without the "www" and .com and another Anna pin option.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking I need to change "Friends" to "Friend"
