As of yesterday, I have been having issues when clicking on a link. The page "jumps" a bit, but the link won't open. A second click will cause the link to open. Going back to the previous page is fine. Sometimes, if I am on a page I read daily, like the R&T the link of a post I read yesterday will work on the first click, but not always.

I suppose it could be me, or my computer, but it only happens on the forum. Any ideas?

Same thing is happening to me, whether I use Chrome or Firefox, any time I'm logged in.

Only happens on Britbike, so something has changed somewhere. It's not debilitating, just a little annoying.

At first I thought it was me and my poor aim with a cursor, but it's not ....

Edit - I switched over to 'Brave' browser and it's still doing it ..

Morgan, I am always logged in. I use Chrome browser. Any thread will have this issue, if I haven't read it, or if it has been at least a day since I followed the thread. The R&T does it every time. It is the first thing I read, I have tried clearing all my cookies, done two virus scans with different programs, done a Malware scan, all to no avail.

Even to reply to this thread took two clicks. Maybe it's age related? My wife says I'm getting old and feeble. Or was that feeble minded? I forget.

Hi I have now tested several browsers and links open always on first click for me. I suggest we await next upgrade which will arrive soon.

we use 7.6.0 and soon 7.6.1 will arrive and then several new features will be available.

you can see the version at bottom of this page UBB.threads™ PHP Forum Software 7.6.0

cheers
Morgan

I have the same thing happening.
It is the same on 3 different computers with different O.S. windows 7, windows 10 and Ubuntu Linux. I tried firefox and chrome and it's happening on both.

When on an index page (it's worst on the forums list page), if you click on a thread instead of the thread opening the page jumps

Morgan,I just clicked on the R&T link. Instead of opening, the page jumped so that my mouse pointer was above and left of the link. I then had to move the pointer, and click on the link again to open the forum. This link, the FAQ forum, opened the same way. Following a thread inside a forum works the same way. It is not forum or thread specific. It happens to all links, unless they have just been opened, and then closed again. Give them a day, and they will misbehave again.
I hope this explains better.

Mine is doing exactly the same thing. You click on ANY internal link for the board (like R&T or Triumph), the page jumps, the mouse pointer ends up above and to the left of the link. You recenter the pointer, click again, and the link opens.

Any browser, and only on Britbike, no other site.

I was finding that the first click on a link often (usually) wouldn't open the link for some time. Just thought that was my computer. Clicking a second time always opened the link. Didnt take much notice of whether it was menus or in a forum. No jumping noticed.

Today I'm finding the jumping, and not loading from the first click - but only for the menu (to get into each board).

Within each board a click on a link to a thread causes the page to jump, but I'm finding the page loads from here. Not loading however, when clicking on a specific page for any particular thread.

Not debilitating, just requires a bit more clicking to get around.

Cheers
