here are some more recent pictures

had to cheat with the magneto as it needed too much work, i managed to pick up a competition mag at decent price!

tank needs a bit of work.

i have partially assembled to get an idea of what it might look like, wheels need rebuilt but i have got them on to make it easier to maneuver about the (untidy) garage. I have a later tls front end i may use.

might not be to everyones taste but at least its saved from the shed it was in. I reckon it was lying in there for about 30 years easily!

That engine in that frame gives the bike a great stance. That seat is perfect. What seat is it?

Thanks ginge, i bought the seat from gumtree last year for my other A10 project, and at the time i remember seeing them for sale on a website but forget where. I stuck aftermarket pipes on it but think i will go for shorter upswept tulip type.

cheers

She's going to handle as good as she looks.

BSA A7 and A10 frames are descended from Gold Star racing frames.
She will be a pleasure to ride.

I REALLY hope you got good, clear, side-on shots in good light BEFORE you started work.
(EDIT - looks like you got a fair right side shot of the "before" condition)

THAT, ladies & gentlemen, is a TRUE "Barn Find".

It will be an AMAZING "before & after" comparison!

Thanks guys, photos probably make it look better than it really is.

Needs some fettling and will try and get it registered for the road, i may not be able to keep original registration but should get an age related plate.

another old bike saved as it was probably heading for scrapyard!

Very, very cool. I wouldn't change a thing. That's a true garage find, a hella project and you're making fantastic progress! Love the seat.

That's incredible for just a month or two's work.

I doubt if the photos are making it look "better than it is"! The ORIGINAL photos probably didn't!

Great job and thanks for keeping us up to date ....

Love it, don't have to look new to look good.
Seat would have to go but it's not my bike so that don't matter.
Good job.

Harvey Mushman the famous Scottish movie actor?

When people who should have known better cautioned me about the dangers of motorcycle racing, I always told them that a fear of death is nothing more than a fear of life in disguise.

I believe it's the name Steve McQueen used when entering off racing events.
