Can anyone tell me if there are free workshop manuals online? I have a 54 ES2 at work that requires a little fettling and would like to do some reading before I get into it.

Thanks
Rod

Hi Rod,

Happy to send them to you. Please PM me, as it is much easier for me that way.
Are you needing the Norton workshop manual, Norton spares list,Lucas workshop manual, Lucas spares list?

It's a shame we dont have a repository on this site for manuals & spares lists !!!!!!

Hi there.

I have a 1952 ES2 which I am about to start work on. I'm familiar with post-war Norton singles in general having owned a 16H and Model 18 (as well as Commandos) but my original workshop manual is of 1948 vintage (originally my father's) and I only have a 1947 spares list with the upright gearbox as opposed to my laydown type. The crankcases are of course different as well.

Would you by any chance have pdfs of a manual and spares list for my bike?

I have a fairly comprehensive set of Lucas manuals.

Many thanks
Ian

Hi , may be the practical guide made by P.L. Garratt, as it covers the 1948 to 1960 Norton models ........??

Could be although I haven't seen that.

The original Norton book by Edgar Franks, who was a designer at Bracebridge Street, is excellent and covers most of what I need except some later details.

I've come across this site:

http://www.pdfmotomanual.com/index....er=t&key=&make=1964&lang=ENG

which has loads of good stuff (although not quite the 1952 version I'd really like).
