I guess there are a lot of people on here now who have no clue who Mike is or what he did to promote this site.......sad on many levels.
(That's Mike on the right holding the banner, in a white rain suit and red cap...always had that smile on his face)
There was a time when Mike would make sure that EVERYBODY got a welcome and a reply to their first post. He was influential in starting the TSMR and the Mid-Ohio get-together. Mike retired and opened the Carter Bros Garage
with his brother Dave and it had become a local hang out and well know and respected shop for repairing and restoring vintage bikes. Mike's quest was to see our old British bikes on the road and not just static displays. He was proud to be a part of this site and the hobby.
Both the TSMR and Mid-Ohio was an attempt by a few of us to get as many BB.comers together face to face as we could. Mike was a big part
of that effort. Always positive and always had that smile on his face.
I'm not sure how this is going to work out but he has asked that his ashes be placed on the TSMR's Goat Path. Mike was born and raised in Florida and I can't tell you what an honor it is that he even considered his last resting place to be something that was a part of this site.
RIP my brother.........we're going to miss you but you will NEVER be forgotten.
