Nice Zippo. I have a plain one from the 50's. I use points in two bikes and a Boyer in the other. The Boyer was in a drawer so I put it in the 70 Bonnie. Works well. I prefer points only because I have been stranded with a Boyer twice, but never with a points system. I have no problems adjusting points, but new AAU springs are a must.

1996 on the zippo- I've made only one other so there are only 2 in existence that I'm aware of. Gets used daily, just like the Triumph!

Still use points. I'm proud that I can tune points well. Not that anyone (except here) cares anymore.

I work at a GM dealership, I wanted to check my timing one day at lunch but no one in the shop had a timing light. It's just not something they use anymore.

they're hard to get these days, too, shel. most places don't even sell them.

summit sells a dial-back-to-zero light like the old suns, but the one i bought failed after a day or two. they replaced it for free with a much more expensive digital version that is great, except it reads double the advance when i use it on a Boyer (76 degrees instead of 38). if i keep that in mind it works fine.

every day you do not take a chance is a day of your life that you will never get back.

I have a Snap-On that I've had for 30+ years that still works fine

You can find them on eBay. I bought a NOS Craftsman a few years back. Works great.
