Allan, That would be bo problem except there is no extra room in the small cottage just a hole in the walland we will allways have an opening for our daughter. The second option would be to book a large cottage with multiple rooms. I think my Mrs likes the first option.. and you boys would only drink up all our beers... grin LOL

I think Anki is a very smart person. Lol.

As far as tenting goes that big pod tent is hard to beat to be honest and saved us money from its first use. I hope we can get a tent pitch with electric again, that was very useful

At last... :bigt

A Rally where Morgan can get me drunk, he'll have too, for all them beers I've missed... wink

Harwich-Hoek Van Holland, for me and a few chums, MIGHT even have a Colonial with us. Once he's stopped mucking about with Chimps, his/my Thunderbolt is all ready and waiting for the lad. And them Dutch DO know how to organise a bloody good Rally, so I'll be there, in me tent, along with me Kerosene, and me Klompen. Electric in a tent... shocked

INDEED... facepalm

Hello to you all,

There is a great interest in the rally and people have even booked an accommodation in advance.

As this goes on, there will be the problem that most accommodations will be booked at the time the bookingform is sent to the clubs (in november). So we have asked the camping owner to block the reservations until the bookingform is sent to the clubs.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Peter Lammers, IR secretary Dutch BSA owners club.

Peter My wife and I prebooked a cabin early at the campsite. The campsite confirmed it last week and wanted 50% payment in advance. So it sounds as we should pay them for the accommodation and then the actual rally booking thru the club.
Let me know if this sounds right.
Cheers

Hello Morgan, this is right. Booking and paying a chalet goes seperate from the booking and paying for the rally. So you have to pay the chalet directly to the campingadministration. The actual ralltbooking goes through your club.

I'm sorry to inform you that all the cottages at the campsite are fully booked.
You can book a cottage at Striks erve or at Resort Reestvallei.

See our website for more information.

It seems that more then in the past years people want to stay in a cottage.
During the rally people who have booked elsewhere still can use the main site's facilities.

From the Dutch Club Facebook Rally page.
Important additional information for the rental of accommodations.
Especially for the other foreign participants.
The demand for houses is much larger than expected.
The Dutch BSA-owner club and int. Rally team will help all the participants as well as possible and do all to make the Dutch BSA Int. rally a big success, we have a team of enthusiastic volunteers, so we can keep the cost low.

For Your Information. There are still some luxury 4 and 6 person Staphorster cottages available. These are suitable for 2 couples. There are 2 equivalent bedrooms available. ( so you can share the cost ) Advice. post this quickly!!! And is the best choice, also I have for Striks Erve cottage chosen.

I have visited 2 weeks ago and was impressed of the cottages and the surrounding area. The cottages are on the other side of the road at a walking distance from the main BSA marquee. A disadvantage is.

There is a problem in that the Exchange day is 1 day is later than the start of the rally.
Possible solutions are, A.: 1 weekend extra booking. B: take a tent, hotel or B&B for 1 day.
(We unfortunately did not succeed to bring forward the Exchange day)
For booking Call Marga of the Striks Erve office, telephone number 0031 (0) 522440253: [email protected] ; www.strikserve.nl

Another choice of accommodations is on Resort Reestvalley. The distance is around 2 km from the BSA Marquee. ; [email protected]; www.reestvallei.nl;.

You can also use the following sites, which both have an English translation.

Striks Erve https://www.roompot.nl/vakantieparken/nederland/overijssel/landschapspark-striks-erve/ At Striks Erve the rental period runs from friday to friday. You have to book a weekend + a week. So you can arrive a day earlier and leave two days after the rally. If you are over 55 you get a senior discount.

Resort Reestvallei (1 mile away) http://www.europarcs.nl/vakantieparken/resort-reestervallei
