I am saddened to hear of Pete's demise. A great help to any and all who asked. His knowledge was freely given and anxiously accepted by many, including myself. RIP, brother.

what a shame people die.

i've been re-reading pete's stuff here and elsewhere.

what a loss, not for his knowledge, but as a person willing to help strangers.

every day you do not take a chance is a day of your life that you will never get back.

Pete and I spoke on the phone quite a lot. Always about the modifications of Triumphs. We also chatted about family problems, you know, the stuff we all have, and at the last conversation or there about, he mentioned he was off to Africa. This amazed me as most Ausy motorcycle nuts like myself want to go to the Isle of Man or watch motorcycle GrandPrix in Europe. At the time I had a fleeting thought that maybe he was ill and did not have much time left. Maybe I was right at the time.
