SO

How do I hook up and find out about cabin rentals, entering the actual rally, etc. ?
Gonna put this on my radar, and begin to look into possibly attending.

Hi Tom,

The booking form is on Facebook.

Go to the FB website and do a search for BSA Rally 2015.

The form also has an email address for the rally secretary.

I hope that you will be able to make it as it will be great to meet up with you again.

Beezageezauk.

You've got to do some sort of signup and password to get to that site.

Is there a way to get the material without having to register for whatever it is?

Lannis

Ok Guys,

I didn't realise that the information wasn't available to everybody so back to plan "B".

Do a "Google Search" for Dansk BSA Klub.

When the website is on screen there is an opportunity to click on an English translation version.

Open up the webpage and on the left side there is a list of options.

Click on "2015 Rally"

The rally page opens with the rally logo and just below that there is a link to the booking form.

This booking form is in Excel format and in Danish but it's pretty easy to understand.

If you don't have excel on your PC go back to the "2015 Rally" link and just above it is the link to "Invitation". Open up the invitation and you will find the name and email address of the rally secretary on page 2. I'm sure that he would email a copy on request.

From what I understand, the form will be sent to all club secretaries in the near future. They may even have them by now.

Beezageezauk.

Hi Chaps,
I have a copy of the booking forms from Niels in Denmark.
They will be published in January's Star magazine for the UK club.
Niels has said that for booking accommodation, there is a large range of options.

The Danish BSA Owners`Club have the pleasure of inviting BSA club members and their family from all around the world to the 52nd International BSA Rally taking place in Vejen August 08th 15th 2015.

Vejen is a village placed in the southern part of mainland Jutland between Esbjerg on the West Coast and Kolding on the East Coast. With only 50 km to either Esbjerg at the rough North Sea or Fredericia at the mild East Coast there are plenty of opportunities for taking a ride out on your bike.

The campsite is placed at Vejen Sports Center and Hostel. Close to the center buildings a football field is adapted as campsite for tents and campers. In the same area a Hostel with 16 rooms with 4 beds and private bathrooms, as well as a number of more luxury cabins for up to 6 people are available. 3 smaller cabins for 2 people are also present. 5 minutes walk from the campsite, the Hostel has a larger numbers of rooms in hotel standard.

The Sports Center offers toilet and shower facilities for those camping in the field, as well as rooms for evening entertainment and Diner & Dance. The restaurant offers breakfast and evening meals. Breakfast has to be ordered in advance on the booking form, evening meals a day in advance at the center. Free use of the indoor swimming pool and exercise center at opening hours specified in the program.

Address Petersmindevej 1, DK 6600 Vejen. Coordinates Longitidude 9.119794 Latitude 55.474633
See also www.vejenic.dk

The proposed events for the Rally are as follows:

Saturday
08th Aug. Arrivals and booking in. Meeting friends again. A free evening hot meal is provided.

Monday
10th Aug. Line up in the city of Ribe. Evening lectures.

Hi Rob, it looks like the Regina line is a no show, Ray has sent several emails to their sales department, and had no reply.
I'm going Hull - Rotterdam, and touring the north coast of Holland and Germany, the Motorway is boring from Rotterdam to Hamburg.

The UK Booking form has arrived with your Star magazine.
NOTE: The price for the Double room is incorrect, it should be 450 NOT 250

And I have other people proof checking it as well this year frown

The price for camping is per tent, and for each person inside the tent

As some of you may have seen in the shout box, I am now going to the rally!! My original idea of having the bike in a van has been bettered by riding the whole trip :bigt grin and as I'm getting very excited already about this event, I'm looking into learning a little Dutch. (I learnt Spanish quite quickly whilst I travelled the country a few years ago, if I didn't I wouldn't have been able to eat or buy fuel. ) nothing fluent, just enough to be understood. I believe that like the Germans, their English is very good, this makes it much harder to learn whilst travelling. As long as I can say the Dutch for "two beers" ( more importantly my travelling companion can say "two beers please" as he owes me a beer wink )

My curiosity has extended to our American cousins, for many of them the 2014 rally in Petaluma was the first, and whilst there is a few members from the States who will be adding this to their list. I was wondering if any of those rally newbys will be attending this event?

Speaking a little Dutch in Denmark will be most useful Allan

Have you got a local Dutch speaking teacher, Allan?

Don't put a penny on that. I speak a lot of Dutch but it never helped me in Denmark... frown
English is well understood and spoken by all Danes.

No Dutch teacher, just what I can learn off tin-ter-web and phrase books. I don't expect to be fluent, just enough to get by and show a certain level of respect to the host nations people.

It's only legal to do that in Sweden. And THEN only between consenting adults, in private .....

The booking from the UK club has gone, 50ish people are going to attend.
The exchange rate was rather good, so there was no excuse for not going.
