Our BritBike friend Jerry Wood of J. Wood & Company Auctioneers ~ Liquidators
reports that their first auction in 2015 will be a huge estate auction.

So who's going to this auction? There will be tons of motorcycles and parts sold at NO RESERVE and it comes from a former Triumph dealers collection..

Click on the link above to find out all about this auction!

I've been to this guys place years ago.It is off the beaten path.
I don't know about him being a former Triumph dealer but I do know he was one strange dude.It was very hard to buy any thing from him,a hoarder I guess? But he is long gone now.I might go.It would be interesting to see what is buried there and what it goes for.Might be a waste of time and travel money but my family lives not for from there.Kill two birds with one stone.
Cheers,Leroy

I doubt if it will be a waste of your time! I've been thinking about going just for the entertainment and education value, although I would have to go there with no cash and no cards, to avoid accidents .... !

Update
My friend just showed me how to use a calculator. What an amazing device.

$10,000.00 wining bid
$1,000.00 buyers premium
$300.00 credit cars fee

That $10,000.00 deal just cost you $11,300.00

I want one of those new calculators... My ancient calculator, its actually a #2 pencil, tells me 3% of 11,000.00 is $330.00.

And when I pay my $11,330. for that Vincent Black Shadow basket case I will be grinning all the way home.

John

You are truly an optimist.
Let's hope the guy standing next to you when you bid on that Vincent, is not the same guy who two weeks ago won the Harley knucklehead BARE cases for $10,100.00.

The last time I went to one of those (Daytona), the guy standing next to me was Randy Baxter and we both bought many boxes of NOS parts.

65 T20 Mountain Cub
69 TR6R (with 73 TR7R engine)
73 TR5T
77 T140V
79 ES Street Tracker (in the planning stage)
Enough parts to build a couple more. smile

Of course when you go to an auction you can leave your brains at home if you chose. But I have been to many auctions where those odd prices are often a reflection of other issues than price. I have seen plenty of times where price is not the issue. The price reflects personality issues and they are both out to punish the other guy. Some guys take it "out back" others just keep raising their hand. It's all the same.

You know when James Cargill's agent (Cargill Industries) is sent to buy something at a motorcycle auction money isn't the issue!!!

Now you can save up for a spell checker so you don't come home with a whole lot of wine.
