I had a '50 one of these, WAY back in '73? Had it for about a month before the engine threw a rod doing 50 mph... The next truck, was a Mazda rotary truck, about '84-'88... MARVELOUS small truck! This, and the next truck, a Toyota "Black Thunder" 4x4 [ '99 - '03?], were too small for my uses.
I'm now a dedicated full size van owner, '97 Dodge B2500 currently. 160k on the clock.
My wife adorning the hood of the Jeep. The Jeep started out as a 1956 CJ5, then cut in half and flatbed added, Jeep hardtop and doors. It now has the Dauntless v6, o/d, pto trans runs the winch. Not great for putting bikes in the back though.

Kev, that is indeed a '49 Chevy half-ton that I posted. It had a very sick 283 cu in V8 in it when I got it. It ran just well enough to go to the junk yard and haul home another engine which I put in. They yanked a good running 283 out of an Impala that only had one fender crumpled. The truck was great after that. It still had the original 4 spd box with the granny low.
George -- nice '71, and I love that '59 Apache.
RG -- what an awesome job you did with your Jeep!
Kevin, got a picture of that Ford with a load of hives?

Here's what I drive on the weekends. Not a bad gig if you can drive with a TV right above your head showing basketball or mayhem movies all day. I never was a truck guy, though I owned a lot of VW vans back in the day. 0 to 60 in five minutes.
Our 51 Willys being used as a truck....State of the art four wheel drive in 1951.
VERY NICE TRUCK!!Thank You.... I had a 62 Willys station wagon way back when. 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder with electric overdrive and windows all around. Never seen another one like it and one of the few I wish I still had.

The Buick is two wrecks put together by a Buick dealer back in the 50s. 53 from the firewall forward, 51 in back. I've had it since 1974. Somewhere I got a photo from the 80s of it with a Beezer in back.
