I sold it in a the late 70s, it was a mod 40, reg number from memory was FXO 426, lovely little bike and I took my test on it. Is it out there?

Not much has happened to it if you sold it in 78, tax has not been renewed since May 78 but as the DVLA still has it on its database then someone has kept up with the V5 changes. Probably a basketcase in someones garage.

If you want one, there's a 1959 model-120 for sale here, with british papers. The seller wants 9000 EU.

Panthers do not come up for sale very often on this side of the pond, but 9000 EU seems quite steep compared to prices in the UK.

that's interesting, I cant recall who it got sold to, my father handled it for me, but strange its not been used as it was a complete and running bike when I sold it. I still have the manual for it if I can find the owner.

For a fiver the DVLA will tell you the current registered keeper including address.
