The Ultimate in Performance: "825" for added torque and horsepower

    2. Modern Performance Hi-Quality RingSet

Nice looking kit, so what machine work is necessary to make this kit fit a T140 besides the T120 length rods? Mark

Hello Mark,

Thank you for the nice comment. I'm prejudice, I know, but it's the new look and feel of the engine once completed that really makes the difference. After seeing these for so long, the stock cylinder now looks wimpy but feels like a boat anchor. Makes the engine take on a big Brute look. Light, too. Then the Nikasil bore. Just cannot believe the difference in durability plus a few free ponies. Racing tells it all.

As to the mods: One needs to plug the outer 4 headbolt holes, outbound and reduce to 5/16". Same for the center (to 1/4"). The cases need to be bored for the larger spigots (similar to that of the Routt "825-825" kits of yesteryear). Instructions are included with the kit.

Feel free to email or phone with any other questions

Marino

Thanks Marino, that's about what I surmised from looking at cyl. stud holes and bolts in pictures. The ARP hardware looks nice and I know ARP has some stong stainless alloys. I've been waiting for a nicasil long rod barrel so I'll give you a call...Mark R.

I saw a couple of really nice Triumphs at our local Clubman show, one a Cheney and one a Trackmaster, running these barrels in 800cc and they even look better assembled then in pictures. The polished stainless steel ARP hardware is the icing on the cake, really nice package Marino...Mark
