A dear friend of mine has a 16 year old daughter who recently has had two surgeries for a brain tumor.

It has been an emotional roller coaster for the parents, as their daughter’s recovery has had moments of optimism and moments of sheer terror. It is a day to day struggle.

I have a 17 year old daughter myself; I can only imagine what these people are going through every waking moment.

Anna’s favorite color is purple, and people have started to send her pictures of purple things.

Being an honorary brit biker , I have a favor to ask.

Could you please put on a purple shirt or hat, park in front of a purple sign, or something purple with your british bike and post a picture in this thread? Maybe post a note of encouragement for Anna?

I will collect them periodically and send to Anna’s folks.
It would be a nice surprise for Anna’s family to see some of my purple britbiker friends. I can assure you they won’t be expecting pictures of old dudes on brit bikes!

Here is Anna, isn't she beautiful?

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

Thanks

How about an Aubergine Triumph . Close enough to purple? From my family to theirs, I hope Anna has a speedy recovery and that the stressful moments are over for good.

I can try. My tank is purple, but I can't seem to find the lighting which brings the color out in a photograph. It always ends up looking black.

Hello David

First thought, when i heard of the colour purple was: a commercial with a purple cow. Its a classic since many years.
Lately they asked kids in the kindergarden, whats the colour of a cow?. Guess what the most kids answers was: ...purple.!

here you can see, what commercials can cause...

Please send my /our regards to Anna and her family. We all hope she will have the possibility to find many more purple things just everywhere in the world.

How about a picture of a purple Brit bike? Anna, are you a motorcycle fan? This isn't my personal motorcycle but one I saw in North Carolina recently. Hope your day is going well! Be strong & happy healing.

Not sure what happened to the text with the pic: From our

Get well soon Anna! Have y'all checked with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation? I understand they can be quite supportive.

Hang in there Anna. I have three metal plates in my head and, believe me, the brain has almost miraculous powers of recuperation! You can and will overcome this!

David,

Our thoughts are with Anna and her family.
The nearest thing I could find to purple was this picture of the flag of Kent being waved around by Mr Ed (of this very site) at a rally in Belgium.

Here’s wishing Anna a speedy recovery.
