Best pictures yet George.....heartbreaking but wonderful at the same time. That smile...and he had so much respect for Bodger....you can see that in his face.

I was lucky enough to have saved the last couple of emails Craig and I shared over the last couple of weeks and just late last week we were talking about that very same Enfield. I'd love to share those last words I got from him because it has a lot to do with the board, it's members and the past. But right now's not the time.

Come hell or high water I'm going to Mich to say goodby to him. I didn't get a chance to do that with Tarvin or Bodger...and I'll always regret it.

Miss ya Zo......your southern fried friend in NC.....Gordon

Terribly sad news. I enjoyed reading his knowledgable and witty posts. RIP Bonzo.

Reading the news about Bonzo was a bad ending to a nice day.

Craig will be sadly missed over this side of the Pacific as well.

Craig was one of the first people I connected with in the early days of the Britbike forum. We exchanged phone numbers and talked on the phone, I don't remember about what specifically, but I do remember Craig's friendliness and willingness to connect with a then total stranger hundreds of miles away.

My first impressions were cemented as I got to know Craig through the forum, and I won't belabor what we all already know of his eloquent posts, always positive and helpful, never petty or pedantic, always bringing everyone towards common ground.

I'll remember and miss Bonzo for a very long time. Carin, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. (We met at Brimfield. I don't know if you remember, I'm the one whose butt you busted (rightfully so) about having a cigarette in my mouth for a photo op.)

I first talked to Bonzo on another forum (a custom bike forum) then some how ended up here, imagine that. He ended up being a very good friend in such a short time. Didnít do much business together and only rode togather twice. But we got to calling each other about once a week or so. And there weíd be of an evening in our shops 400 mile apart with the phones on speaker, wrenching (fettling) on bikes and saving the world with conversation. Some rock or blues music was usually involved, said country didnít do that much for him. But he did say it beat the hell outta rap or the hip hop shyt heíd hear up and down his street. God, Iím gone a miss that boy!
Well itís late and I just canít seem to get my head around this whole deal,

But remembering this weekend still makes us smile,

Bonzo, ride free my friend whisky and when you run into my brothers I told you about, remind them to keep me a spot in the back. Iíll be along one day and itís easier to miss the potholes.

Folks....if you want to show Craig's family what we thought of him....PLEASE click on the "Light a Memorial Candle" and let them know. It doesn't cost anything and I'd like for his Mom, Dad and kids to know just how much he meant to us.

This is a permanent site kept for the family and friends.....

Thank you in advance. Gordon Gray

It comes as a total shock for me as well, I had chatted with him on the phone about a week or so ago, and we talked about life in general. It strikes me now that he had specifically asked about my wife, and how she was fairing with her cancer, and all. I had many chats with him over many years, picking his brain on issues with my bike, like so many others. Craig had always showed up at the Wauseon, Ohio swap meets riding the flying banana, and spent alot of time digging through goodies, and telling each other about where other finds were. I will sorely miss him, he was a really good friend.

I'll admit I've been MIA around here for awhile, and now this! It hits me like a ton of bricks. Bonzo was a man of great knowledge, yet a modest, humble, generous soul. We've lost one of the pillars that this community was built upon. Godspeed my friend!

Bob.. It was just his time. He wasn't riding.

This news sucks.. shocked I shook Bonzo's hand in Brimfield, we had a laugh and a beer together there, it was pure delight to be there with him, one of the good lads...

He'll be sat along with Tarvin around a camp fire now, cooking up some fine ole Parns, drinking beer and spining yarns. Sure as hell will miss him, another one of the lads gone frown

Came back from the Island to the sad news. Always enjoyed Bonzo's posts altho' we rarely corresponded directly. Forum is a poorer place now. Anyone who could call himself "Bonzo" gets my vote! For the rest of us, now seems a good time to get on and say and do those things that ought to be said and done; we're "in the zone" too! RIP.

That's a great photo, and even better because it looks like ol' Bonz is getting ready to drench his whipped-cream-and-sugar waffle with some kind of hot sauce.

Sounds about right! laughing

I stopped believing for a little while this morning. Journey is really going to be upset.
