Hi guys, does anyone know of any tips that I can use to prevent oil from seeping past the oil tank / oil filter interface on my 1964 A65 Rocket ( apart from leaving the oil out).
When I fit the fibre washer ( part number 68-8336)on to the filter ( part number 68-8328) and tighten it against the tank, the washer distorts ( not helped by the undercutting of the thread on the filter hexegon head)and allows the oil to seep past.
Thanks, Henry

The newer style filter screen/bolt has a recessed slice for use of an o-ring which works well.

Thanks guys, will try to get hold of an o ring as suggested, hopefully that will do the trick. Regards, Henry
