Hi guys, does anyone know of any tips that I can use to prevent oil from seeping past the oil tank / oil filter interface on my 1964 A65 Rocket ( apart from leaving the oil out).
When I fit the fibre washer ( part number 68-8336)on to the filter ( part number 68-8328) and tighten it against the tank, the washer distorts ( not helped by the undercutting of the thread on the filter hexegon head)and allows the oil to seep past.

or, you could try the dowty washer with the rubber insert, got them on by b44

The newer style filter screen/bolt has a recessed slice for use of an o-ring which works well.
