friend has a 69 rocket basket case he wants me to rebuild.i have alot more ambition and willpower than i do mechanical ability!is this thing gonna kick my ass or is it relatively simple with the right amount of patience & time?any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!

Need some pictures and close ups to assess the task he is proposing. New mufflers, rims, clutch, valves, guides, pistons and bore your well over $1000 in bits alone if not more for original NOS stuff. If he wants it running and will deal with rust then the head at least should come off and barrel so you can check bottom end for play and measure.

he's supposed to be digging it out this week.as soon as i get it here,we'll do an inventory of the basics i suppose and i'll get some pics of it posted.thanks for yer concern over my well being,he may well just wanna get rid of it "as is" after it gets dug out!we'll see
