Thought you might like these pics and I know Gary Edwards is keeping a log on serial numbers for these.
The milage was left as is when restored, and is assumed accurate.

raf940,
Thanks for the advice on the fender. Haven't had time to spend on it but had wondered about the space between the fender and tire. Lots to learn about this bike.

Hi Donalvin,

Love the Thunderbolt. I'm a fan of the OIF and have ridden mine all up and down the east coast including two 1000 mile in 24 hour trips. Go get 'em.

Richard - Jeeze that is a nice bike. You and Skeet put a lot of us to shame...

The design on the inner engine cover is interesting. Is the bike street ridden much? I don't see a mirror or horn.

Its ridden as my daily commuter. About 100 miles weekly plus sunday rides.. 3 seasons outta 4 anyway. Here in NC, we don't have to have bikes and cars older than 25 yrs inspected. So we can get away with alot. I had some cheap eBay bar ends, they kept coming loose. I got pulled over for speeding. The trooper gave me a warning about the tag being more visable. I've researched the laws regarding displing a MC tag in N.C. According to the DMV, " you will be provided a tag by your local tag office. It must be displayed on the rear of the motorcycle and kept clean"
That certainly leaves alot of grey area.

I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for a tag placment here, but I have heard of people being ticketed for a dirty tag.

No horn, watch for finger. Ha!

2 Nice OIF BSA's. I am prejudiced since I have one too and rode it the most of all my bikes last year, but I think the OIF's are tops.

Here's another pic of it with new wheels and tyres. Apart from that I've just put a stainless exhaust on it for far and some very nice italian rear shocks that are copies of the fontana ones from a year or two back .

I'm just finishing off a three year T150V restoration and I've also got a Commando in about 20 boxes so the BSA is to keep me quiet next winter.

I think a nickel plated frame would look great on this bike. Has anyone plated a OIF bike frame?

Mrs govig is also a biker and rides her own modern MZ and a Honda XR

Peter, I think we have a similar taste in bikes. I have a 1150RT, Trident, oif BSA as you've seen and a Yamaha although its a WR 250. No KTM as yet...

Trident is being finished by Decent Cycles and the other bikes are all ridden as much as possible!

I think les femmes will fit on the Tridents better.

Here's a shot from the 2000 Victoria Hillclimb.
Dad (Gordo in Comox) took the 2nd place trophy and me the 3rd (must have been the extra 45 lbs); both on 69' Victors.

So now that I finally figured out how to post photos...

Here is my 1966 Lightning as it was unloaded from the trailer. It's now a bare frame in my shop.
