Fifty? FIFTY? Only bloody FIFTY?

I'd give a lot to be a youngster of only FIFTY again. Good gosh, I was just a young whippersnapper, didn't know nuffink, all talk and trousers I was.

Now if I'm hunting out in woods with my son and we stop to take a leak, he's blasting the bark off of a tree 3 feet away, and I'm leaning forward to keep from dribbling on me shoes ....

FIFTY! Just a kid, you are. Just wait till you get up there wiv me and Grandad an' Dick and Britbodger, we'll show you how to spend quality time on the hopper ...

50..50? why you're just a pup yet compared to some (me included). The real question is how old do you feel/act. Do you need as hard a kick to get you going as the Commander does? It's all a matter of perspective ol pal. Now when do we get around to you buying the birthday rounds?? :bigt beerchug
Have a happy!

That's what we over-50s tell each other. sleep sick

But to a 30-year-old, we're all a bunch of unbelievably old, ancient toots from the Stone Age who can remember when phones had round dials that made sparks to click the number on the line, and computers filled whole rooms in giant basements .... smirk

And when THEY'RE 50, the 30 year olds will think the same of them ...

Nifty Fifty hey Shaun, Happy birthday to you mate I wish I was that young again, I guess now is the time to dig down deep in that long pocket of yours and get the beers in. If your going to the East London camp this weekend I will buy you a pint, if I can make it that is, as I have a small problem at the moment, nothing serious but, I'm hoping to make it on Saturday all being well.

BLOODY hell FIFTY years OLD..!

What the flipping h3ll is wrong with you Shaun? Only fifty? mad
Monday I can go and get a free influensa vacination.
And do you know why it's free? Because all over 60-ers get it free.
Last month I received my first payment of the merchant marine pension fund. They start paying earlier... And you know what they call it? Old age pension mad

OK I know it's money and I know I ride bikes and work five days a week, but old age... couldn't they find another name for it?

Get a grip, Shaun. 50 in this hobby/lifestyle is still a young squirt. If "old age" sounds bad, how about "closer to death"? laughing Have a good one beerchug Greg

George lad, sorry I can't read ALL that I'm OLD lad laughing

T140V Rich lad, had a pint of Youngs at lunch time so does that count? Having an Old Thumper at the moment, then we're off out for something special... wink

Tasman dude, keep that Ale lad, I MIGHT... And that's a BIG might, come over and get it on me A10 :bigt Course it'll be in that cooler for a while, the Australian BSA Rally isn't for a few years yet, and I've got to convince the Lovely Janette that I NEED to go grin

Flash a.k.a TTJohn lad, sorry East London won't be seeing me this weekend lad, it's be Burfday weekend, and it's a 'Special' one, seems the Lovely Janette has things planned for me, and it'll be on going ALL weekend wink

THIS IS THE LIFE and THANKS to you all beerchug
