I've been off camping this weekend with a few chaps in Lincolnshire.

It was put on by a mate of ours Sloperman and the venue was a pub garden. Excellent :bigt

So after having Friday off I loaded the H**da and set off

[Linked Image]

After a 2 hour journey on the interminably straight roads of the Fens I reached my destination which is about 2 miles from Cadwell Park race circuit

[Linked Image]

The pub is The Green Man in Scamblesby.

Pete was already there in his BSA 3 wheeler

Is this cheating?

Soon after Ian turned up with his Velo Viper

Then it was earplugs in as Beezabryan turned up

In the course of research to ensure you get the full flavour of the weekend we adjourned to the ale house and sampled some Taste of Spring. Surprisingly we weren't actually sure about it until after the 4th one grin beerchug

While we were conducting our vital research LJ appeared with his M21

Saturday dawned bright and sunny so for breakfast I unveiled my secret weapon in the form of a disposable bbq. The others spent ages messing about with petrol stoves

[Linked Image]

I overheard LJ asking Pete if he wanted a [***]! or something like that anyway laughing

I was caught by Bryan in the famous Buddha position

[Linked Image]

Ian got called away as some scrote had set firee to his van overnight so he had to leave frown

11:30 came round and it was time for the run out. The Lincolnshire Wolds are simply lovely.

We stopped for lunch in Wragby

Then we carried on via the really tiny lanes with either deep gravel or grass up the middle. Sometimes it was both grin

LJ went out to get pizza and we witnessed pizza delivery WW2 style

[Linked Image]

We all speculated that maybe one day pizza would be delivered by lads on scooters with huge warming topboxes laughing

I had a great time this weekend and I'm angling for an invite to the Kent camp (Are you listening Shaun?)

I know it's not in Shaun and Graham's league but I hope you liked it.

Nice yarn Paul, keep them coming. Seems you found some decent pubs. At this rate you'll knock old Shaun off his yarning pedestal!

That's a great rally writeup, good pictures and a good tale!

I really enjoy seeing some of the folks I've had such fun with over the years out having a good time with their old bikes!

And no, it's not cheating to use the bike's battery to help pump up the bed. It's self-reliance!

Nice tent, by the way, looks like a good one. Giving me some ideas!

And Jim H., note the bacon being grilled over the charcoal. That's what they make sarnies and butties out of ... !

And here I thought you had found a way to use your air matress as an amplifier for your CD player.
Looks like you had a grand time. Thanks for the pictures. I think Shaun is the master becase he spends so much time goofing off at what he calls the Hell Hole so has tiome to fabricate his tales. Seems he gets "excused" as much as he drives lately.
