Well I just had a good long talk with Malcolm.
He is indeed a positive guy and he told me to
let you guys know that he had a colon cancer surgery.
He is now recovering and will receive final result soon
There is a downer that it has spread to 8 lymphatic glands
hope i spelled that right so he is up for 6 months of chemotherapy. I could tell that he enjoyed the chat so feel free to call (see above). He said next time he will go to mid ohio it will be as a "tourist" and not as a racer... he will just enjoying talking with you guys and not be wrenching/riding and eventually blowing his engine up....again... grin Still I think he will be gravel racing Ron T for the big gravel champ title... wink
Anyway it will take a little more time until Malcolm locates a computer and be able to login here.

BSAing you

i called Malcolm also, yesterday, and spoke with him about it all.
he is in a positive state of mind, and that counts for a LOT in adverse conditions such as his own. he was upbeat and was looking forward to being released possibly later in this week.

an upside is that he has friends locally in Houston who have offered to have him stay in their home when he does get out of the hospital! bless their hearts. so he won't have to be at home alone during recovery...

Macolm my brother, be well, and many happy returns! also, to have you at VMD just chillin in camp, will be pleasant, a nice change from you going off early each day to race, coming in late and wore out.

take good care my friend, i'll be in touch!

I don't think anything short of total paralysis or death can keep Malcolm from entering the dirt drags at the New Ulm Rallye, so I'll get to line up with him next May. Maybe I'm in with a chance this time...

Another update from our local club-guy:

Greetings Members,
Just got off the phone with Malcolm. He is doing much better. He has his energy back and is scheduled to be discharged possibly Sunday. He will be staying with some friends for a few days before returning home. He says folks have been visiting and calling...so he knows he has lots of friends that care about him.

Hey Malcom
I don't know you like some of the guys here, just through BritBike.com. Always enjoy your posts, the voice of reason.

They just took one of my damned kidneys out in January. Had an 8 centimeter tumor in it so I have to get C/T scans at 6mo intervals to see if it spreads. I'm back riding, street and woods, kicking over the 750, no apparent problems.
I hope that you can be reconnected and likewise get back to enjoying your bikes very soon.

Hey Malcolm, here laugh at Joe Namath in CC & Company found a great B movie channel on youtube that may help the recovery time go by.
B movie Bikers for the Bodger, remember when at Moto X to put your clutch hand on le tete and watch out for the Hardley MX crowd. 21:45 in is the MX. Chopper flat track at end,

BRITBODGER OUT OF HOSPITAL

Yup, Escaped again! and staying with good friends for a few days.

He has been told not to ride for a few weeks yet but says the medic was not specific and thinks that refers to horses, not bikes !
He needs a carefull eye kept on him as he has a propensity for eluding his carers for quite long periods.

Goood to see so many britbikers care for his wellbeing as the old sage is a national treasure to some of us. A bit like Stoneheange, but slightly older and twice as crusty.

Nb "Old sage" _ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\= crumbly, dusty and smelly.

Keep up the fight Malcolm..We know you can win! beerchug

Hey great news! I always figured BritBodger Malcolm the type to rise to a challenge, most long surviving street burners are like that. I still have the yellow line vid in mind, anywys in case it hurts when you laugh here is a mild driving joke:
Ok so here is a joke for you.....
SEEING TREES
As Paris Hilton crawls out of her wrecked car, the local sheriff asks her what happened.
Paris began, "It was the strangest thing! you know? Like I looked up and saw a tree, so I swerved to the right. Then I saw like another tree, so I swerved to left. Then there was another tree, and another and another then I pushed the gas thingy too hard I think, or was it the brake thingy? ..."
.
The sheriff in disbelief of her unhurt condition thought for a minute and then said...
.
.
"Mrs Hilton ... I don't know how to tell you this, but the only thing even resembling a tree on this road for thirty miles is your air freshener."
.
There are cars to dodge Mr Bodge so get well soon and think strong and healthy,
Steve

HarryKUK,

Thanks for the news on Bodger. Not sure if he isn't more like the London Bridge than Stonehenge (national treasure, but somehow ended up in the USA, and we are glad he did).
