That is a shame, I have always liked that bike. Though a Velo would be neat too.

The mutant B40 looks like a real stump puller. I'll bet it's a real hoot to ride

Yes Sven, that is very cool. Pretty much what I had always envisioned my Spitfire cafe would look like if I ever get one.

many thanks to Brian from oz for posting pics of my shooting star- I am useless at that process.
The favourable comments make all the agony along the restoration journey seem worthwhile. thanks

Rich and Rob, posting dealer photo's from the fifties and sixties of brand new machines fools none of us.

man you guys have some beauties!!! both the restores and the choppers. I like the black scheme, mine's already got nothing but black or chrome from the PO, except the slightest bit of leftover blue on the tank bolt hole, I think when it gets painted, if it gets it, it'll be black.

I finally got a good pic of my 1957 A10 Spitfire Scrambler. I've wiped down nearly all I can reach, and polished anything chrome. she'll probably look much like this even with all the work I still have ahead of me, most of that is internal. I want it working as well as I can get before any cosmetics get funding... except maybe badges.

This forum is really inspiring.
The Lightning has not seen action for several years until this past August.
Last weekend I put on ~600km down and up Vancouver Island.
Loved every twist of the throttle.
