Today I took part in a classic bike charity run at Fleet Hampshire to raise money for a local hospice. We had a good ride out with some rain but managed to raise over £700 for a good cause.

I was riding my 1968 BSA A65 Firebird scrambler which later won a prize for best in show, see pics below:-

My winter build. Chopped the frame, welded up the hardtail portion, powder coat, relaced wheel, complete motor rebuild minus the timing side bushing,(which I am doing now because I was to stupid and lazy to skip it the the first time).

That's nice-looking ... everyone is going to think it's a 250!

This is a Starfire I bought from a gentleman in Myrtle Beach, SC. It's my first vintage Brit bike. I fell in love with the chrome look of a BSA. Of course this bike doesn't look like a B25S but I think it's gorgeous. What do you think? I'll need a lot of assistance in working on it. It's mostly cosmetic stuff. The bars will definitely be replaced with a Euro spec bar.

1969 BSA A65 Firebird, disguised as a Lightning.I obtained this bike as partial payment for a restoration done on a client's Norton Commando; it was restored before he bought it some years ago. It sat too long without riding and wet-sumps significantly. One of these days, I'll fix it up and let it get some regular riding; for now, it has to wait...

Hope you're not tired of seeing this one; I'm a one-trick pony. This is my one and only motorcycle, and a daily rider. The description is in my signature line, + Mikuni VM32 carbs, BB ignition, Tympanium rect./reg. (added this year).

My original Fibreglass tank started leaking so I decided to go down the aluminium route.

I have got hold of a thunderbolt head and will convert it to a single carb bike and hopefully it will be a bit kinder to start next year.

Ten years later, 7.5 million views, I'm pretty stoked how this thread has been living it's own life and how many of you guys have contributed over the years. Almost two hundred pages of Bsa's, gotta love this thread !

A BSA with that much power? I would like to hear more about it. I sent a PM to Wak but was told to be over the limit.

That would look good as a custom Firebird. Nice project.

Ive gathered all the correct parts but I have thought of using a custom front fender . The original is a bit clunky . Also will decide later if I'll use the original mufflers. Also a bit big, which is probably why most of them are missing. Bike came with Shorty mufflers but didnt really like those either. Maybe some custom straight pipes or something . It already has alloy rims on it from when I bought it. So a mild custom may already be in the works.....

Don't think I've posted a pic of the '61 A10 here. Its prime duty is as a rally tourer, so all the pictures I have are loaded and on the road ...

Wade: If you bought some standard unchromed mufflers, you could then trim the tail pipe to make it shorter.
