I just got a '71 A65 Lightning running after replacing the wiring harnesses. All the electrics work great, got a new battery, bike started on the third kick. But, it only runs with the choke on full. I thought I knew these Amals pretty well, I moved the needle up from top notch to middle to bottom, almost no difference. I have the idle screws out 1.1/4 turns. As soon as the choke is pulled up beyond the slide, it dies. It has new main jets and needles, 200 mains and the needles have the two lines on top.
