Well there is no doubt this bike was in the far east somewhere....I've been calling it a 1952 but really not sure....here are the frame numbers...BM20S-9518....engine numbers ZM33 5438(very close to yours)....I don't even know if the engine is original to the frame....here is a pic of the fender number plate that was on the bike...

The frame # Mike dates it as being built maybe 56 or 57, but the engine # is definately from 52. The engine in mine isn't the original but was shipped as a spare on the same order. The battery box came with mine too, but was too badly corroded to repair. I've been told BSA fitted battery boxes only on bikes shipped to hot humid climates, as the original rubber cased batteries would'nt stand up to the extreme conditions!!!
